DIRTY BLACK SUMMER is a side project formed by five musicians from some of the most abrasive bands in the Bay of Angels (SVART CROWN, former members of IN OTHER CLIMES, WORMSAND). These seasoned artists hail from the Black, Hardcore, and Stoner scenes, now united in their quest for the posthumous blessing of Layne Staley, all while catching the amused eye of Glenn Danzig. We are excited to present their debut EP titled "Great Deception."
The fiery rock essence of the Foo Fighters shines through in "The Descent," while "Forget My Name" delivers a powerful Nirvana-esque vibe. However, the most surprising track is their reinterpretation of Britney Spears' hit "Womanizer." This is not just a cover; it's a deconstructed reimagining. Slow, dark, and intriguing, their version of "Womanizer" takes on a whole new magical dimension, especially in its captivating second half.
This debut EP from DIRTY BLACK SUMMER is packed with explosive grunge rock anthems! It's a must-listen at full volume!
