Notes Du Paradis / Whoop Whoop Whee Whee is the second album by the band Doctor Livingstone, originally released on the label Overstage Imperator Productions
(Mutiilation, Zoldier Noiz...) in 2008. This auditory nightmare, full of feedback and cymbals, was recorded by Cédric Castel at the In The Box studio. He also played as the
band’s bassist for half a tour, the time it took for him to break his collarbone and for the band to turn back before dispersing again into their numerous other commercially unviable projects. Each track on this album is titled in two different ways, and as usual, none of these twelve creations was rehearsed before being recorded. Notes Du Paradis
/ Whoop Whoop Whee Whee is a filthy, generous, and arrogant piece of work. The first kiss with black metal, a vulnerable little heart, vocal damage, social vomit, and total
boredom. Blame it on Dada, the Marquis de Sade, Schopenhauer, and Cioran. The recording of this album was financed thanks to the generosity of the French state and its social aids (welfare, unemployment benefits...) and, in a way, thanks to a collective effort of the French people, whom we never fail to thank in each of our works. The
album was remastered with taste by the indispensable Bruno Varea. The artwork for this reissue was created by the talented Maxime Taccardi, who gave it a new dimension, true to the album's message. This opus, this irritable and tired old woman, will delight fans of Catharsis, Converge, pg.99, The Icarus Line, and Hiretsukan, bands we indeed listened to at the time and whose mention is important to reassure the customer.
