While the band released their debut album on NAPALM RECORDS last year, old fans argue that 2012’s „Iron Chest“ is still EARTHSHIP’s best album to date… we hesitate to disagree, and thought it was time for a vinyl release, right in time for their tour supporting VOIVOD this fall.
With „Iron Chest“, EARTHSHIP have matured towards their own idiosyncratic take on contemporary metal, sludge and stoner rock. There is the occasional old school Swedish death metal vibe going on, but it never takes long until those moments find their release in those beautiful, warm, heavy stoner riffs that we all love so much.
As Rocksound (UK) put it: “It’s pretty clear that Earthship are on the course for greatness“.
