Two years after their acclaimed debut album, the all-female trio GRANDMA’S ASHES returns with BRUXISM, their second record featuring New Wave and Grunge sounds, driven by the need to amplify their fierce and committed voice.
Produced alongside Canadian Jesse Gander (known for his work on Brutus’ albums), BRUXISM manages to preserve the French group’s Alternative Goth Rock identity while evolving with more direct tracks, crafted for live performance.
The lyrics allow the trio to issue a true wake-up call, addressing highly relevant topics such as mental health and loneliness, which increasingly affect our society.
With BRUXISM, GRANDMA’S ASHES undeniably takes a major step forward, establishing themselves even more as a sort of Grunge and Gothic version of the iconic Kate Bush.
