Hail Spirit Noir, the Greek trio formed by the creative minds behind Rex Mundi and Transcending Bizarre?, does not shy away from complexity, delivering an original sound that intertwines old-school black metal with 70s progressive rock. Their music evokes comparisons to contemporary acts like Enslaved, Virus, Oranssi Pazuzu, and A Forest of Stars, even drawing parallels to Ghost in certain passages. Fans of musical oddities will be thrilled, while others should take the time to explore this surprising and richly layered material. Their third album, "Mayhem In Blue," continues the evolution of their genre-blending approach, pushing boundaries even further. A must-listen!
