Since their previous albums "Mass Grave" and "Death Siege" - both released via Season of Mist - Hierophant paved their way into the extreme metal scene in Europe, with a relentless and furious approach.
Following the conquest of the most prestigious stages (Hellfest, MetalDays, Party.San), the Death Siege ranks pushed the limit to the extreme and ultimately crafted the first live album in the band's career.
Recorded at Hellfest 2023, "Gateway to the Abyss" (released via Dusktone) is the feral representation of what Hierophant is about: Hatred, blood, nihility.
