IRA is a Milan-based technical death metal band formed in 1997. Between 2004 and 2007, the band released several devastating and intense demos, including “Chaos Regression” (2005) and “Dawn of World Redemption” (2007), earning strong acclaim across the underground metal webzines for their complex songwriting and aggressive sound. In early 2012, IRA completed the writing, arrangement, and production of their first full-length album, “The Syndrome of Decline.” The album was recorded and mixed at Syncropain Studios with producer Marco Ribechi (Node, Eldritch) and mastered by Goran Finnberg at his personal mastering studio. “The Syndrome of Decline” stands as a powerful statement of intent, delivering intense, technical, and progressive death metal for fans of extreme music with both precision and brutality.
