Jack Slamer - Mask Of Broken Glass - CD DIGISLEEVE

Jack Slamer is back and clearly has no intention of holding back! The Swiss band has just unveiled a new live session of "Mask Of Broken Glass," recorded directly in their rehearsal space at Hard Rock City in Winterthur.

This is a particularly effective way to experience their new track: no gimmicks, no excessive production—just five musicians gathered in a room, ready to deliver pure rock 'n' roll.

The band perfectly encapsulates the philosophy behind this session:

"No polish. No bullshit. Just us."

And indeed, they deliver!

This new song heralds the upcoming album from Jack Slamer, also titled Mask Of Broken Glass, set to be released on November 27, 2026, via Radicalis.

The album is expected to explore stories that blur the lines between fiction and imagination while delving into more personal themes behind its metaphors: the evolution of friendships, human relationships, and the ongoing struggle to make the right choices throughout life.

Musically, Jack Slamer seems to have evolved their sound as well.

Following the departure of guitarist Cyrill Vollenweider and the arrival of Omar Fra, the band describes their new direction with a telling phrase: "a little less Woodstock, a little more denim & leather."

That certainly sets the tone.

Formed in Winterthur in 2007, Jack Slamer has gradually established itself as one of the bands to watch on the Swiss rock scene.

Led by singer Florian Ganz, the band has built its identity through albums and concerts, earning recognition as SRF Best Talent and performing at venues like Z7 and various Swiss festivals.

In 2020, their third album Keep Your Love Loud marked a new milestone, entering the Top 10 of the Swiss album charts, followed by a successful tour in Spain that confirmed their upward trajectory.

The pandemic, however, abruptly halted their momentum.

But it certainly didn't put an end to their journey.

In 2024, Jack Slamer decided to fire up the amps again with a slightly revamped lineup and a strong desire to return to the stage.

To prepare for this new chapter, the five musicians chose a method that should resonate with old-school rock enthusiasts.

In 2025, Jack Slamer settled into the Kerwax Analog Recording Studio to record their new material directly onto analog tape.

This choice aligns perfectly with their desire to capture something alive, organic, and spontaneous.

And this session of "Mask Of Broken Glass" already offers a great glimpse of that.
