Formed in late 2015 in the depths of old Edinburgh, KING WITCH emerges as a blend of old-school heaviness and classic 70s rock. With a dark majesty reminiscent of BLACK SABBATH and CANDLEMASS, they also draw comparisons to MASTODON and HIGH ON FIRE. The band quickly earned a reputation as a formidable live act, touring the UK and Europe and performing at festivals such as Sweden Rock, Muskel Rock, Malta Doom Fest, Dutch Doom Days, and Siege of Limerick.
Following the release of their highly acclaimed EP "Shoulder of Giants," the band signed with Listenable Records, which led to the release of their debut album "Under The Mountain" in February 2018. April 2020 will see the release of KING WITCH's highly anticipated second album, "Body of Light," which further hones their ability to merge dense riffs with haunting yet powerful vocal lines and melodies. The broader dynamic range of "Body of Light" takes the listener on an electrifying journey, from dark and menacing passages to the glory of Heavy Metal.
