Building on the reception of Nova Atlantis, French melodic heavy/power metal band Kingcrown return with Moonfall, a ten-track album that strengthens the band’s identity while expanding its sonic and conceptual scope. Founded by brothers Jo Amore and David Amore, former members of the French heavy metal institution Nightmare, Kingcrown continue to refine their blend of classic heavy metal foundations, melodic power metal arrangements and modern production values.
Written during an intensive creative period in the summer of 2025, Moonfall focuses on tight songwriting, memorable choruses, energetic guitar work and powerful vocal performances. The album balances immediacy and depth, combining direct heavy/power metal impact with a coherent science-fiction concept shaped by technological evolution, temporal distortion and the fragility of human existence.
Musically, the record will appeal to fans of Iron Maiden, Helloween and Gamma Ray, while maintaining a contemporary sound suited to today’s international metal market. Produced by Kingcrown and mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio, Moonfall delivers a powerful and balanced production that highlights both the band’s melodic strength and rhythmic drive.
Key tracks include “Lost Horizon”, a direct sequel to “Endless Journey” from Nova Atlantis, following a World War II B-17 pilot caught in a time vortex and propelled into the year 2045. “We Are Kingcrown” acts as a statement of identity, while “Nothing”, “Rise of Machines” and “A Thousand Years” deepen the album’s dystopian and time-travel themes. “Back to the 80’s” pays tribute to the golden age of heavy metal, and “Beyond the Stars” closes the record with a more reflective perspective.
With a stable line-up featuring Jo Amore, David Amore, Sébastien Chabot, Bob Saliba and Ced Legger, Kingcrown deliver a mature and well-focused heavy/power metal release with clear appeal for specialist retailers, distributors and fans of melodic European metal.
