Les Chants De Nihil - Graines - CD/Vinyl

Les Chants de Nihil was formed in 2007, serving as a creative outlet for the inspirations of its composer, Jerry. Drawing energy from the surrounding landscapes, he naturally enlisted his longtime collaborator, Mist, to assist with recording. This collaboration led to the creation of the band's first cassette demos. By 2010, LCDN had evolved into a serious project, performing live with a full lineup. Their debut CD, *La Liberté Guidant le Fer*, was released. Jerry then developed a satirical, meta-political concept that gave rise to a new album, *Propagande Érogène*, in which each band member played a specific character. The band continued to tour across France. In 2015, they released a more personal album titled *Armor*—a collection of poems exploring themes of nostalgia, desire, solitude, and friendship—issued in a digipack format. Over the following years, the lineup underwent changes, eventually stabilizing in 2015 with Sistre on drums and in 2019 with ÖberKommander 666 on bass, while Mist returned to guitar. After four years of songwriting, Jerry announced the follow-up to *Propagande Érogène*. This new album would plunge unreservedly into the theatrical setting established a decade earlier, indulging in excess and surrealism. *Le Tyran et l'Esthète* was released via Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Productions on January 22, 2021. After promoting the album at around ten shows, LCDN performed on the iconic Temple stage at Hellfest in Clisson in 2022. The band's sixth album, titled *Graines*, was released via Les Acteurs de l'Ombre on November 6, 2026; it addresses themes of creation and ecology with the band's characteristic blend of fierce advocacy and introspection.
