It would be nearly impossible to imagine where music and heavy culture would be today without the band MEGADETH, founded and led by singer, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Dave Mustaine. Their impact has only grown since 1983. To date, MEGADETH has sold 50 million albums worldwide, received one Grammy Award (along with 12 additional nominations), generated billions of streams, secured seven spots in the Billboard 200 Top 10, and attracted millions of devoted fans in arenas and stadiums around the globe. The band has produced both relevant and timeless albums for five decades, setting the tone for the thrash metal revival in the 80s, navigating the MTV era of the 90s with flair and style, maintaining their momentum in the post-Y2K 2000s, reaching canonical heights in the social media and streaming era of the 2010s, and humbly harnessing the uncertainty and discomfort of the post-pandemic world in their boldest, most ambitious, and best work to date.
