MÍO returns with their powerful second album, "Hva nå?", taking Norwegian folk rock into darker, heavier, and more intense territory. This is restless folk rock for a chaotic world—an album pulsing with frustration, anger, and apathy, wrapped in a dynamic soundscape of melancholic ballads, playful prog, crushing doom, and raw punk energy.
With a distinct identity and bold contrasts, MÍO stretches the boundaries of folk rock, delivering a gripping sonic journey through human emotions. "Hva nå?" is more than an album—it’s a reflection of our uncertain times.
MÍO is a six strong ensemble who draws rich inspiration from Norwegian rock, punk, and folk music featuring hardanger fiddle with fuzz and a vast arsenal of folk instruments from around the world. Their previous album "Ingen tid å miste" ("No Time to Waste"), earned the top spot on The Nordic Sound as "Best Nordic Release". Their music is a blend of musical elements that fuses melodic Norwegian folk with an extensive mix of genres such as playful progressive rock, heavy doom, and high-energy punk.
