Mondo Cozmo - Sweet Forever - CD/Vinyl

After trading Los Angeles for Napa Valley, Mondo Cozmo (Josh Ostrander) was ready for a fresh start. Unexpectedly, his past pulled him forward: in spring 2025, Amazon's Reacher used his 2016 song "Shine" as a season closer, and it topped charts overnight. The response sparked a creative breakthrough.

He wrote "Sweet Forever" in honor of his late dog, Cozmo, aiming for something uplifting rather than mournful, "almost like a church hymn." Thirteen more songs followed within two weeks, forming the bulk of the album, set for release November 20, 2026.

Ostrander sent the songs to friend and producer Butch Vig, who called (a rarity) to push him further, a moment Ostrander took as confirmation he was onto something real.

He then brought in bandmates from The Cobbs, his teenage Philadelphia outfit, to record in Napa, capturing a raw, feel-driven rock sound. Unlike past albums, Sweet Forever features guests: My Morning Jacket's Jim James on "White Rose" and Langhorne Slim on "Alabama."

Sweet Forever is a full-circle moment, Ostrander digging into loss and resilience while returning to his rock roots, delivering arguably the finest work of his career.
