French progressive doom/death metal band MONOLITHE will release their highly anticipated eleventh studio album, titled Agalma, on January 22, 2027, via Psalmodist Records.
Set aboard the cargo ship Hesiod during its journey back to Earth, the story follows a crew of humans and androids as they encounter a colossal celestial object orbiting Jupiter, which they name Agalma. Through the narrative of Banks, the ship's doctor, the work delves into the interactions between different forms of life and consciousness, as well as the challenges of coexistence.
Massive riffs, atmospheric keyboards, and evolving musical structures create an immersive sci-fi journey, extending the band's long-standing affinity for cosmic imagery and ambitious storytelling.
The artwork is crafted by Maciej Kamuda Art.
