SAPIENS is an acoustic project founded by Nicolas Foucaud, leader of LOS DISIDENTES DEL SUCIO MOTEL, and Thibault Fassler. Together, they have crafted an album featuring 10 tracks, each intended for a different vocalist from the French Rock and Metal scene. Starting from a simple demo with two guitars, the participating singers were given complete freedom over the lyrics and melodies. After recording their parts individually, they sent their takes to Nicolas and Thibault, who, with the help of numerous additional musicians, constructed and recorded the songs, sometimes starting from scratch. The entire work showcases a remarkable diversity and sincerity, as Nicolas and Thibault successfully encouraged the vocalists to step out of their comfort zones. This is a collaborative project centered around humanity and music, featuring contributions from singers of LOFOFORA, MARS RED SKY, HANGMAN’S CHAIR, BLACK BOMB Ä, BUKOWSKI, PSYKUP, BABYLON PRESSION, ROBOT ORCHESTRA, FOREST POOKY, and LDDSM.
