In 1965, he co-founded Pink Floyd, and Roger Waters initially served solely as the bassist, but following the departure of singer-songwriter Syd Barrett in 1968, he also became their lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and conceptual leader.
Since then, Waters led Pink Floyd for more than a decade before creating one of the most dynamic solo-careers of the entire rock age.
