Seven Metal Sins emerge as a new force within the European metal landscape, built on the solid foundations of experience and a renewed creative vision. Formed in April 2024 by Stéphane Lacoude (bass) and Patrick Soria (drums), both former members of French heavy metal act Manigance, the band represents a deliberate return to a more direct, uncompromising approach to songwriting - one that places energy, identity and authenticity at its core.
The project quickly took shape with the addition of guitarist Antton Iriart, whose compositional drive became central to the band’s sound, followed by the arrival of vocalist Claw-G. in December 2024. His commanding delivery and expressive range brought a defining intensity to the material. The lineup was completed in March 2025 with guitarist Frédéric Auclerc, further expanding the band’s harmonic and structural depth. This formation marked the beginning of a focused creative phase culminating in the release of the debut single “Hypocrisy” in April 2025 and laying the groundwork for the band’s first full-length album. Set for release on June 5th, 2026 via Rockshots Records, “Legacy Of Chaos” stands as a cohesive and deliberate debut - an album that draws from the legacy of classic heavy metal and power metal while refining its language through a sharper, more contemporary lens. The record is defined by tight, riff-driven songwriting, dynamic rhythmic structures and a strong melodic sensibility, all delivered with a production that emphasizes clarity, impact and precision. Rather than relying on nostalgia, Seven Metal Sins channel the spirit of traditional metal into a sound that feels immediate and current. The interplay between galloping rhythms, aggressive guitar work and expressive vocals creates a balance between intensity and accessibility allowing the songs to retain both weight and memorability. Tracks move fluidly between fast-paced, high-energy sections and more controlled, heavy passages, resulting in an album that maintains momentum while offering variation and depth. On a lyrical level, “Legacy Of Chaos” reflects a world in tension. The band explores themes such as environmental collapse, social fragmentation, authoritarian drift and the consequences of unchecked human ambition. These elements are often filtered through dystopian and science fiction imagery, not as an escape from reality, but as a way to amplify and reframe it. The result is a narrative framework that feels both urgent and reflective, aligned with the emotional intensity of the music. From a production standpoint, the album benefits from a cohesive and focused approach. Mixed by Jérémie Garat (Reseda Prod) and mastered by Simon Capony at Basalte Studio, “Legacy Of Chaos” achieves a sound that is both powerful and defined allowing each instrument to contribute clearly to the overall impact. The visual identity, shaped by Marco Orlando’s cover artwork and layout, reinforces the thematic direction of the record, completing a well-integrated artistic package. Comprising eleven tracks, the album offers a complete and structured listening experience, moving from the atmospheric introduction “The Fall” through a series of high-impact compositions such as “Scars of Injustice”, “Hypocrisy” and “Wolves of the Last Dawn” and concluding with the expansive “King of Sorrow”.
With “Legacy Of Chaos”, Seven Metal Sins present more than a debut album: they establish a clear artistic identity and a solid foundation for their future within the metal scene. Rooted in experience but driven by a forward-looking vision, the band delivers a record that speaks with clarity, intensity and purpose - positioning itself as a relevant and credible entry in today’s heavy metal landscape.
