Swarm Chain are an Italian heavy-doom band born in 2020. The band was established at the initiative of a group of musicians already engaged in other musical projects, but willing to experiment with a genre they had never explored before.
Song-writing started in 2019 and was initially done just for fun. However, the outcome was so good that it was decided that the project should officially become a band and a full-length album be recorded during the lockdown period.
The sound of Swarm Chain is influenced by the different musical experiences each band-member brings to the table: this results in a form of doom metal alternating rocky and scratchy parts with slower, melodic, and gloomy sections.
The presence of two singers, one in charge of clean singing and the other delivering growling and screaming vocals, creates a lot of nuances in the songs, which lead listeners on a dark trip down to the very depths of the Earth and into the mazes of the mind.
