For the first time ever, Sweet – Live At The Capitol (1991) is being reissued in a carefully restored edition on CD digipack and limited white vinyl. Captured at the height of their early 90s live powers, this concert finds Andy Scott’s Sweet delivering high energy versions of their classic hits alongside deeper album tracks, all in front of a fired up crowd. In addition to founding member Andy Scott, Sweet consisted at the time of Mal McNulty (Slade), Bodo Schopf (Eloy/MSG) and Steve Grant (George Harrison/Eric Burdon).
The new edition features remastered audio from the original source material, updated artwork and liner notes, and presents this long out of print fan favourite in definitive form. The show includes essential songs such as “Ballroom Blitz”, “Fox on the Run” and “Love Is Like Oxygen”, making it an ideal catalogue highlight for both long time fans and new listeners discovering Sweet’s legacy.
With Sweet still active on the touring circuit and a loyal classic rock audience for physical formats, Live At The Capitol is a strong, collectible addition to any rock assortment. The white vinyl pressing is strictly limited and aimed at collectors and Record Store Day style shoppers, while the CD digipack offers an attractive mid price catalogue title with strong margin potential for retail.
