Iceland is a thrash metal band hailing from the Paris region, formed in the early 90s. After releasing their debut album in 1995 and performing over 200 concerts across France alongside both national and international artists, the band disbanded in 1998. Throughout the years, their 1995 album has become highly sought after worldwide. In June 2021, founding members Ziac, Bernard, and Phil reunited on stage at a bar to jam and play thrash metal covers. The spark was reignited, and they decided to resurrect Iceland from the ashes, re-recording their 1995 album with modern technical resources. A crowdfunding campaign was launched, and the target was quickly met, proving that after 24 years of silence, fan support remains strong! Iceland has enlisted top-tier drummers from around the globe, including Franky Costanza, American star Dirk Verbeuren, and Aurélien Ouzoulias, to handle the drums. The album will be produced by HK from Vamacara Studio, ensuring a high-quality production. However, it’s on stage that Iceland truly shines, and this album will be showcased across France and beyond.
