With their second album, Lords of Lounge have audibly evolved their sound. The tracks feel more polished, the arrangements clearer, whilst the band’s spontaneous approach remains central: composing, rehearsing and recording – the moment creates the vibe and the magic in the room.
The album also brought the band their biggest success to date: “Abigel”, now with over 3.5 million streams, became an unexpected hit and opened the band’s music up to a significantly wider audience.
LP2 showcases a band that has grown in confidence – with a stronger focus on groove, clear melodic motifs and a sound that remains both relaxed and precise. The musical signature of the four Berlin-based musicians is clearly recognisable here and forms the foundation for their further development, which ultimately reaches an even deeper, more melancholic soundscape on their third album.
